Much activity takes place above the buildings of Varanasi including laundry, conversation and kite flying. From a series shot during two journeys to Varanasi and the surrounding areas in 2002 and 2006. The collection of photographs follow the Pilgrims around the ancient city and along the banks of the river Ganges during the Makar Sankranti festival held every January.
Varanasi Rooftops was exhibited at the Royal Academy Summer show in 2009
